FISH

Small-spotted Catshark

The small-spotted catshark (Scyliorhinus canicula) also known as the lesser-spotted dogfish or smooth hound is the UK's most common member of the shark family. It is a bottom living fish where it preys on crustaceans, worms and shrimps. Growing to a maximum size of about 1m, it is often taken as by-catch by trawlers when the flesh is marketed as rock salmon or huss.
